what if you hypothetically went to the sea, in a spot where you can't be seen,
and you take SN and the anti vomit pills...
and then when you start feeling drowsy, you jump into the water. or simply just gently step into the water.

it would remove (or lessen) the panic and scariness of drowning because you would be close to unconscious at that point, right?

...

but the big question is... does drowning somehow take the SN out of your body?
when your body instinctively gasps for air underwater, does that make the SN come out?

and also, if you do get "rescued", then they think you just drowned, they don't know about the SN in your body.
so it will make a person hypothetically have a higher chance of a successful suicide

SN will not just make you drowsy. From what i've seen in videos you'll vomit a lot, then weakness in the body and sometimes spasms alongside heavy breathing/racing heart. Why put more suffering by going into the sea, as i've read drowning is almost a non method here due to the pain level. Just make sure you are in locked room or isolated place for at least 2 hours.

I guess you could, but you'll start feeling cold, you'll probably get the cold sweats, so cool or cold water would probably feel that much more uncomfortable. It may be easier to drift off into unconsciousness comfy in bed under a warm blanket.

You are going to have muscle weakness before you pass out which means you will most likely experience drowning fully aware of it. SN is a known, reliable method if you follow the protocol. Combining it with something else just complicates things.

Wouldn't it also fail because it would become too diluted in the stomach due to the large amount of water swallowed?

The moment you grasp for air, I've heard, in the moment you find a deep sense of peacefulness. Alternative to popular belief, drowning is a comfortable way to go but I don't know this from experience, just things I've read

Keep in mind the temperature of the water, overly cold water could result in not dying / being saved very easily!

It definitely depends, it can also be the most excruciating pain (esp with salt water) to inhale the water, though, the pain technically is only for a few seconds, after which a reflex of shutting off all our muscles and stuff kicks in (IIRC) and you just peacefully float and die, I love drowning, it's my ideal way to go

Nobody can argue the point you're making, there's no way to say salt water is worse or not because the people who have experienced it don't exist to make their point, so it's up to speculation. And I'm not trying to argue so forgive me.

I would agree that our reflexes shut off as a survival mechanism but I'm not sure it's ideal, there are quicker and better ways in my opinion. Exit masks for example. It's the commitment and courage that holds me back

To me when I drowned in salt water I felt more pain than with fresh water, so I assumed it'd be the same for others , ':/

Yeah there's definitely better ways! I just love water and drowning is romantic to me, weirdly

I'm not trying to be stupid, but if you drowned, how are you talking to me right now?

I was reanimated and caught early, I just remember the inhaling water part hurt worse with salt water rather than with fresh water
Salt water causes like, intense burn and blistering and irritation, while fresh water (feels burning yes) but mainly just gets absorbed by the lungs easier

SN does not have a near 100% success rate, so I too have considered these compound methods.

I am less scared of SN failing and more scared of the human survival instinct taking over (which is inevitable, we are animals programmed to fight for survival at the final moments of death).

Ways in which SN might fail could include neighbours in a city apartment overhearing illness, crys for help, calling the ambulance, a repair man barging in at an unforeseeable time.

Maybe not drowning, but going on a hike to a secluded area and doing it at a camp site? Perhaps booking an air bnb at an undisturbed mountain retreat thing?

Another interesting set of compound methods could be xans and jumping. Xans (or something else) to lower the inhibition and SI, then the jumping to do the final fatal act.
