I genuinely can't comprehend how people, in all seriousness, can say something like this, and still believe they are morally superior. I swear, the first time I heard this phrase, I thought it was a twisted joke, but to my utter disappointment, there is someone out there who actually thinks it's alright to say something like this. When will the world understand that some are not interested in watching the world descend into madness.

this is what's been destroying me and leading me towards this path. i've had this account for forever and i'm only using it now because this time it's truly unbearable - with my girlfriend leaving me, i have nobody left and no solidarity. i'm having constant nightmares about the things men have done, do currently, and will do to me as misogyny only seems to worsen. i'm so over it.

I'm sorry. The world feels more hostile now than it did a couple weeks ago.

The rise in misogyny, especially after polarizing political events like Trump's win, isn't surprising. Misogyny thrives in reactionary spaces, and when leaders normalize harmful rhetoric or dismiss women's rights, it emboldens others to do the same.

It's less about Trump himself and more about the conditions his presidency amplified—social media echo chambers, backlash against progressive movements, and a culture where online harassment often goes unchecked. Women becoming more vocal about their autonomy challenges deeply ingrained patriarchal norms, and unfortunately, that pushback can get ugly.

The fight against misogyny requires solidarity and holding platforms and people accountable. It's about changing both the system and the culture that enables it.

I feel like the rise in misogyny is just reactionary to what would be called the rise in feminism.
Kinda like how racism increased during the civil rights movement.
