My Sweet Lord by George Harrison just came on while I was sitting at a restaurant and I can't help but feel like it's some message from the universe. For those of you who haven't heard it, it's not necessarily about the Lord, as in God, but as in a higher being whether physical or not. At least that's how I see it.

Anyway, it just feels like maybe it's the universe giving me permission to move on with my plans.

I feel like my dead ex-boyfriend's energy is somehow attributing to the signs I've seen. I see his name in various places, like really often. His car. Today I was behind a car with a license plate from his home state. Just weird things like that.

I wouldn't shrug it off. I don't believe in coincidences myself. I've had signs from deceased loved ones and even paranormal type occurrences.

Whether you believe in that or not is up to you. But I know and believe in what I've personally experienced.

So in re-hashing this thread, the closer I come to my date, the more I'm seeing signs again.

Like I finally found what could be a good spot to CTB. And on the same day I ran into someone I know who works at the hospital who was there when things were starting to go south for me. Then I found an old message from my cousin about one of my last inpatient stays. Little things keep popping up like that. Maybe it's telling me to cover my bases. To do things right so I don't end up there again. To be smart about it.

Anyway, I hung out with my ex. We've been doing this lately. And I may or may not have grabbed one of my favorite thermals of his. I gave it to him when we were dating and it's so cozy and soft and smells like him. I think I'll wear it when I CTB to have it as a sort of security blanket. That's if he doesn't notice it's gone and asks for it back. It probably sounds weird that I did that, but I'm not punishing myself anymore when I only have so much time left.

We most likely are. I've been curious about that theory lately. And I agree with you wholeheartedly about the absurdity of existence. Have you ever read Camus? Great writer on the topic of absurdity.

But "hearing" the universe appeals to the whimsical side of my brain. I've always placed too much faith in this accident of life.

The Myth of Sisyphus is a good one, as well as The Plague. They basically account the bizarre occurances and struggles in life. How things just happen at random without rhyme or reason.

You have one too? Radiohead's - No Surprises is my "kill me" song. Although, I think it's transformed into Circle Takes the Square's - Kill the Switch. Completely different ends of the spectrum, but both fitting.

Same here. To me there are definitely signs and messages, but I have trouble recognizing them.

Don't we all? We usually recognize them when it's too late. I find myself trying to pay more attention to the subtle cues the universe may be sending my way now.

I'm trying to take some quit time for myself every day to listen, but worldly things are getting in the way most of the time .

Slightly less 'cosmic' an idea is if you imagine that the external world is a mirror to your inner world/mind. Then certain elements in the external world reflect/mirror your internal world and so they stand out to you more strongly than everything else. And the more you're open to being aware of your relationship to world in this way, the more you see of these reflections and the more you can make sense of them.

I agree. That's a very valid point. Our internal POVs effect and mirror our perceptions; altering the message we receive, so to speak.
