Hi, although I am a new member I'd like to share some thoughts that, maybe, may end up in an interesting discussion.
I had been/am suicidal for a year. My ex-girlfriend was suicidal, and my two best friends and my father have depression in different degrees. So, I belive we can agree that depression is around us all, we only have to name it.
Euthanasia is such a controversial issue. It is still not accepted in most countries due to religious or "moral" reasons.
Countries where some form of euthanasia is legal according to Katy Willis in DNAweekly:
It does not seem fair to me that many people must blow their brains out to have a chance of ending their pain. It is not fair for the protagonist nor anybody who finds them. They cannot say goodbye to their loved ones face to face because no one would accept it. Is it a "moral" problem or a maturity problem? I belive it is not for us to decide what someone can or cannot do with their own bodies.
When you blow out the facts to anybody they will rather put you in a cage connected to suplemments to keep you "alive". What does alive mean anyway...
Idk, I had to get it out and felt like this was the place.
Please share your opinions, I nor anyone should critizice you, not matter how different.
Thank you for reading.
