Discussion memorial photos

is it just me or does anyone want to leave their family specific photos to use for their memorial/remembrance?

i feel like my family will use old/undesirable photos of me if i don't leave them specific ones via scheduled email or something. how im perceived by others is very important to me, and i think i have to leave a note anyways so i'll just add a couple of photos of me that i like so they can use them for whatever. is this narcissistic? maybe, i don't really care.

does anyone else have thoughts about this? does anyone else plan to leave photos for this reason?

It does sound a bit narcissistic but I get it. I'm not entirely bothered about my image but I do get annoyed by being portrayed incorrectly. Especially when it's a result of someone else's insecurity fueled misconceptions or pretenses. If there's to be a representation of me at my funeral I want it to be me. Not some version of me that's poorly polished for onlookers that didn't really know me. Truth is it makes little difference though as those who present that misconseption will remember how they want anyway and those who knew me will remember me correctly. Funerals are for the ones left behind after all. I'm pretty certain I won't be attending my funeral. I'd probably get kicked out anyway.

I posted mine on Facebook about a year ago and made a joke it will be in memorial pic although I lowkey mean it seriously. A bit filtered one, that's the best how I want to be remembered. I only have few pics of me uploaded

I have felt this way, but I don't care. I'll be dead. I uploaded some pictures to Facebook. Those that want to see them can see them.

Guess if you have a social mwdia history there's a lot to choose from and you can leave it all up foe everyone to look at as they please so what's showm at you funeral means less. I personally don't use social media.
