Eight years after the horrific Watts family murders, the convicted killer and girlfriend Lizzie Henderson are reportedly taking steps toward a prison wedding

It's been eight years since Chris Watts brutally murdered his pregnant wife and their two young daughters in one of the nation's most notorious family annihilation cases. Today, the convicted killer is reportedly hoping to become a husband again…this time from behind bars.

My comment: For people like me who struggle to find a partner such stories hit hard. On the other hand people on here claim troubled people should not be dating. And I have to reply I consider myself to be less of a red flag than Chris Watts. It is hard to imagine a bigger red flag. Though, some people are attracted to red flags. There are probably weird fantasies attached to dating/marrying a murderer. Especially if that person killed their family. It is a strange story...

There are positive and negative feelings I have about my dating life reading this story. I think I would be a better partner than him. Lol. Okay maybe psychopaths and alike can be manipulative in an attractive way. On the other hand, I also dated some red flags and in some ways it was good that I didn't form a closer bond to them. Having anyone as a partner just to have a partner isn't a good approach in my experience.

Dude, I think some people are just fucking crazy, and trying to come up with or rationalize why they do what they do is pretty pointless. I've always been a little creeped out by people who are way too into true crime
Hell, there's even a user on this site with a serial killer as their avatar

It is a common phenomenon. The prison staff at Union Correctional have complained about the extra workload Wade Wilson's fanmail has created for them.

A Death Row prisoner here in Oklahoma (Richard Glossip) was recently released on bail after 25 or 30 years based on technicalities created by what can only be described as a completely botched defense by his PD, married one of the attorneys working on his appeals ... You would have thought that of all the people on the planet who understood psychology and how these guys operate it would be a criminal defense attorney but I guess not. Mind you there is no question of his guilt (he has confessed to hiring the guy who killed his boss), but between the DA and the public defender his original trial reads as a cautionary tale of what can happen when NO ONE does their job. It was, in layman's terms, a gigantic clusterfuck.

I cannot explain to you what it is women see in these men. I worked on a couple of death row appeal cases, as well as with plenty of guilty men and women over the years and the only thing I know to tell you is their ... Ahhhhh ... Hmmmm ... "Self-confidence" is absolutely thru the roof. Maybe that is some of it -- I mean even Charles Manson, who could not ever have been accused of being conventionally handsome had girlfriends who swore he was just misunderstood.

It takes a special kind of hubris to plot, execute and in some cases even enjoy killing another human. These guys are something else -- before I worked in criminal defense and death row appeal cases I was staunchly against the death penalty. After having contact with some of these guys I am here to tell you that some people truly do just need killing.

Surprised this is even allowed. There would be actual outcry if people knew about this more.

(Also his killing his fucking pregnant wife and daughters and then doing this shit is something to behold.)
