Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Hey for anyone in Canada. There is a medically assisted suicide program run by the government. And as of 2024, criteria has been expanded. Mental health can be the sole reason for being admitted. In 2023, 15,343 were assisted. Its one of the largest such programs in the world.

Whups. I checked the government website. Mental health is a valid reason as of March 17, 2027. But you don't need to be terminally ill otherwise to be approved.

I wish it was also in my country. Note that mental illness is excluded until March 17, 2027.

Looks like its similar to Kevorkian. A mixture of medications administered in a certain sequence and timing. I'd bet it sends you off on a cloud of peace.

I believe it can be either euthanasia, where the doctor administers the drug via injection, or the self-administered option, which would be different medications. But both would be reasonably peaceful. In the US it's only self-administered so the medications are a four drug "cocktail" that is similar to the cocktail in PPH. It can take hours. (They used to use Nembutal or secanol, but those became impossible to source in the United States, thanks to the capital punishment industry).

Wasn't the effective date way earlier, but it keeps getting delayed? If the conservative party wins the next election it might not go in effect ever?
