Also, for older lurkers, I'm in my fifties for reference, I had never been anything other than a lurker on any site previously, and perhaps, subconsciously, I might have been a little bit intimidated stepping into a venue where some people have 20 years experience with social media/internet interactions. Plus, I'm childless so no young whippersnapper to call up asking for guidance.

The people here have been very helpful with me behind the scenes to help with my lack of knowledge. Thus, don't let lack of experience prevent you from joining.

Plus, I'm pleasantly surprised how everyone here welcomes me even though I'm older than most. Here, I feel fully embraced by all.
