Hi everyone.

I first came across SS a year ago.

I connected with somebody on here, and we would call and text each other every week, and even play video games.

2 weeks ago, they called me and told me about their plans to CTB the next day.

I know it was probably inevitable, due to the way we connected, however, I tried my best to support them.

They told me their name, so I could find them, and I did.

Sadly, they did CTB.

I feel so lost and unable to cope.

Has something similar happened to anybody else on this site?

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have several close friends from ss. I met one of them irl, and we got very close. The day after I left, they told me they were going to ctb in about an hour. I asked them to wait so we could take a trip we planned and go together, but they were in too much pain and couldn't stay any longer... I still think about them every day, and go back through our texts and pictures.

There's no silver bullet that will make the pain go away. Just remember that you were important to them, and part of them is still here if you keep them in your heart and mind.

That sounds very difficult. But How fortunate they were to have a friend like you who they could trust and now they are no longer suffering in life.

I have met 3 people irl from SS who have CTBed. I have also messaged countless others who have CTBed. You just gotta accept it.

Meeting more people who CTBed is helping me motivate myself to CTB more which I am grateful for.

Well I have met another person from the same country as mine. We did chat a bit, but never exchanged much personal info nor doing activities together.

I had almost the same thing happen to me. We chatted for two weeks. I tried to stop him, but. That's it.

I was with him as he died.

Since joining this site i have had a deeper conversation and gotten close to a few people that have ctb with SN and am left with mixed emotions and thoughts.

There were quite a few members who i got close to and chatted with for a few weeks, such as @crystalskies31 @TrynaChingMyself who i feel definitely found comfort in our chats.

I am happy that i got to know them and could support them in their last moments and help them minimise pain and provide comfort. I am also sad that they have finally made the ultimate decision an we will no longer be in contact.

It has also provided me with comfort knowing my time will come soon and i hope when i reach out there will be people there for me in my final moments. I am still sad but have slowly accepted they are gone and have finally found peace.

Yeah, I am.

I ended up leaving SS not long after I met the person, and I decided to come back after they passed - to feel closer to them.
