life and reality are so weird, i feel like no matter how hard myself or others look, the question of our purpose and the constitute parts our reality are still unattained after humanity has existed for so long. i dont think the problem is that that were incapable to find it or even that we are doomed to suffer. i think its easier to think of ourselves as entangled in our reality, i think people try so hard spending time to figure out whats infront of them and think about a situation from a meta aspect to understand their life that they forget they are the ones living it. this isnt to say everything is good either i just think to be the observer of our lives and realities as we are, trying to observe yourself as the observer leaves the essence of one's self empty. im not saying i have anything figured out i just think its about plasticity and understanding that we cant live hoping for complete certainty or else the rabbit hole just ends up being one we dig ourselves

True. I believe people can never see what life really means while they are still participating in society's "rat race". The veil of work, finances, entertainment, materialism, and gratification has covered the eyes of many that it only limits to see within those boundaries. Only those who have taken a step back, like the great poets and philosophers, gained the wisdom to truly understand what life meant for them.

To me life has no meaning. It is just a pointless experience that we go through for the sake of it. There is no point to living. I see life as just being meaningless suffering, we are born, we suffer and then we die. That is all there is to it. The idea that this life has any sort of meaning is a delusion. We exist for the sake of existing. Life is completely unnecessary, we were all perfectly fine not existing until we were forced to live.

idk do you think its not possible that taking a step back you can no longer observe life as it is since you have thus removed yourself from the reality youre trying to examine? idk just devils advocate since ive noticed in alot of my studies and while reading philosophers that their dedication to their metaphysics sets them into a bias, and yes i know most philosophical discussion is quite important im not saying nothing matters and we shouldnt search i just wonder if its possible to find the answer to a 4th dimensional quesiton when observing in only our 3rd dimensional pov

Don't people take psychedelics for this. Ego death and whatever?

idk its hard to think thats not the same sort of belief system, im open minded and like the idea of psychedelic's for spiritual connection but thats just buying into ones own ideology, still however that does seem like a peaceful and very grounded way to live around, its just hard to think we dont warp our reality into something other than it is once we try to define it

From what I understand, they are explaining what life in accordance to how they observed it from their own perspective and they have had the luxury to do so by taking a step back from life's rat race. Humans can only do so little to ponder on life while surrounded by life's distractions. Remember, its not just a 3d perspective. Time is involved as well. I believe one cannot come up with their life's meaning without looking back at their past experiences, comparing it to their present experiences, and hypothesizing on future possibilities.

epistemology does play a big part in this as well which just adds another variable and makes it all even more confusing :(

That is why I said in the beginning, "the meaning of their life". Life can only be truly experienced through one's own perspective therefore, finding the meaning of life means finding what life means to you from the assessment of the gathered experiences of your past upto the present and future possibilities.
