Has losing a family member, relative or a friend changed your attitude to suicide and how? On a typical Wednesday night, I was lying in bed fantasizing about blowing my head off when I got a call about my cousin's suicide. I felt horrible and my aunt's (his mother's) pain has caused me to have much greater fear towards killing myself because I'm afraid of my parents reaction.

If you're dead you're not really able to know what they will feel.

If you don't like these thoughts - I suggest you stay honest with your parents and tell them how you feel. See if you can be listened to and potentially get help.

Either way I'm sorry for your loss.

I haven't lost anyone yet thankfully but my mom shared her feelings and she told me in a round about way she would do it if I wasn't here. Like I was the only reason she hadn't but then again when I said I would kill myself and shared my feelings she just gets mad at me and even told me to do it. It confuses me. I don't wanna loose her but honestly if I was gone first it would be easier no? Like idk. lol idk if this contributes to the topic mb.

i lost a friend to suicide, they were the only person i felt close to. the whole thing just makes me want to ctb more. tbh, i think i'd feel differently if they had died in a different way.
i've lost a few people in different ways, but it doesn't really compare. losing someone to suicide is such a different feeling, i can't explain it.

I've known a few suicides
I have seen the grief it leaves behind
But it doesn't change my view at all
I think anyone who doesn't want to be here should be entitled to voluntary assisted euthanasia they shouldn't have to choose a violent method of exit that may fail
If those around us truly love us they should accept our decision, and obviously they'll be aware in advance that we are leaving so it wouldn't be a terrible shock etc.
