I plan to ctb via SN in the coming weeks. I should preface this by saying I couldn't get my hands on prescription antiemetics. Which I know isn't ideal, but I'm still going through with my plan. I'll just have to ensure a lethal dose is absorbed by my body before I start yacking.

But anyways, I plan on doing a hotel ctb and I'll book a room for 3-4 days. My plan goes as follows:
  • Day 1 : Check into hotel room.
  • Day 1-Day 3 : Fast for 48+ hours
  • Day 3 :
    • 23:00 (11PM) : Take Ibuprofen (600mg)
    • 23:30 (11:30PM) : Take antacid (There's a few pharmacies nearby the hotel I'm choosing, so I'll buy one during days 1-3)
    • 00:00 (12AM) : Drink 2 glasses of SN (25g/50mL), have backups ready.
      • Sit back, try to relax, and hope for the best.
I have enough SN to make four glasses (100g), so 2 backups in case I vomit too quickly. If the hotel offers a Do Not Disturb sign, I'll probably put it on my door before I drink the SN. I also plan to leave a written message and identification behind for authorities, as well as some notes for my family.

I'm not sure how good this plan is, so that's why I'm asking :ahhha:.

That was my plan too. I didn't fail I just didn't go through with it, but I'll try again sometime soon.

I read anti emetics aren't necessary and it's just good to have a back up.

I don't think u should drink 2 glasses, more liquid means a higher chance of vomiting. i think u should drink one and have the rest as backup

Other than the lack of anti e your plan is fine. Anti e would lower your suffering, and there's over the counter anti nausea medicine that contains meclizine. If you combine meclizine with anti acid it should make leaving considerably more peaceful.

Got it. I'll have 3 glasses as backup then.

Really? I read that otc anti-nausea medication mainly deals with motion sickness. So it's not advised to use to try to prevent SN-induced vomiting because it won't work like an antiemetic. Never heard about combining meclizine with antiacids though. What kind of effects does that combination have? 😲

There are different types of anti nausea medicines that work on different types of nausea. Motion sickness nausea is not the same as nausea from toxins/poison. Meto is recommended because it speeds gastric emptying as well as being an anti-nausea med.

Using the search function brings up about ten pages of results. You are correct in your assumption of most OTC anti-nausea medications. It is only the ones with meclizine listed. Listed below is an example someone used to leave. Prescription grade would likely be better, but meclizine has been used by members in a pinch. Listed below is something about it, a decent amount of medical language but it works with receptors to otherwise stop any vomiting if I'm reading it properly.

"Histamine H1 receptors are expressed on the vestibular nuclei and nucleus of the solitary tract (NTS) that are activated by motion sickness and stimuli from the pharynx and stomach. When activated, H1 receptor signaling from these nuclei is transmitted to the CTZ and vomiting centre.3

Through its antagonistic action on the H1 receptors, meclizine primarily works by inhibiting signaling pathway transduction through histaminergic neurotransmission from the vestibular nuclei and NTS to the CTZ and medullary vomiting center.1 Meclizine may also decrease the labyrinth excitability and vestibular stimulation."

That's very similar to the plan I had last month. I chickened out the night I was supposed to ctb though.
The hotel I stayed at didn't have much in the way of maid service (I think they were short staffed due to Covid) so I didn't have to worry about a Do Not Disturb sigh.
Forty-eight hours sounds like a very long time to fast though. I could have sworn the guide said eight hours was sufficient.🤔 I fasted ten hours before changing my mind and going home.
I wish you well.
