What do you think of the idea of isolating yourself from everything and everybody and living in the middle of the jungle?
Build a house only with the necessary and if you need something more technological try to find thrown out.

I'm thinking about it, the ways to do it, and I think the biggest problem would be humanity itself, no government wants someone to live freely, without paying for it. Maybe they were going to try to break the house, get caught for hunting or something.

I know, it's a crazy idea, I'll probably never do it, but it is cool to think.

Yeah, it's a nice idea, have had it in the past too. Thought about Canada ten years ago. The properties are rather large and thus allow one to grow some vegetables, go fishing, chop firewood and so forth. Basically, become somewhat self-sufficient and isolated from the rest of the world. It's probably a form of escapism, but as long as one's healthy and able to do that, sure, why not.

I've seen a person living like that in my country. But there's a "good" thing, wild boar is a pest where I live, so it's released to hunt, would have something to eat. haha

Hi. I've said before, why cant we club together and buy an island. Those of us that want to ctb will be around kind friends with support, no guilt.
Cruelty banned, Emotions allowed.

As for being alone if I didnt want to leave this planet, a cave with internet, electric (wind/solar), spring water. That'll do me. Hermit :) & a westerly view. Oh and a machine that makes anything I need.

That's exactly what I think, you don't need to live without any technology, maybe a mini hydroelectric for basic things, if lucky enough to get a solar panel is even better, you can have a refrigerator and preserve the food.
I think the biggest problem, no doubt is mosquitoes, currently I don't think about CTB, so the biggest risk would be insect-borne diseases.

It's been 3 days today that I don't have any social contact, just with my mother, who lives with me. It's being an incredible experience, on the first day I thought it would go wrong, but I was wrong, I'm smiling at every stupid thing haha.
I did this because the day before I was having an anxiety attack, as well as thinking that my 2 only friends would be tired of me.
If you can, do that, stay out of everything for a while and everyone, of course, if you like it.

They have stolen all the land, therefore stealing our rights to live where we want rent free and grow our own food.
We cannot live a natural life because of this and are forced to pay for the basics of life which should be a human right without interference from corrupt, thieving evil governments.

Exactly what you said. In my country, if you cut a tree, you're going to go to jail, I agree with that, but at the same time, who lives alone in a forest, a tree makes no difference.
A month ago I saw a meme that made me think of something I had never imagined before, which was to prohibit a person from simply crossing an IMAGINARY line, whether he does that or is killed or imprisoned.

Yea, hunting for instance used to be perfectly valid until they made it into a capital offence, which then resulted in plenty of famines. The reason I mention this, in the 70s there was a treaty on non-militarisation and -commercialisation of space. They've dropped that too now. Basically, space will be privatised and therefore, despite unimaginable resources enough for everyone, this whole shit show will continue out there for however long humanity makes it. 👍

not sure if this is a survival site. you'd want to find a water source.

I don't want survival tips, otherwise I'd look for something about. I just shared one thought. Like everybody else.

probably not buy an island, BUT I've been thinking of something very very similar since 2019 and even have a list with everything necessary
I was thinking some small jungle island in Indonesia, or perhaps British Indian Ocean Territory (but that would require getting a boat and sailing south from the Maldives which are quite far)
but chance of death is nearly 100% so you'd really only be delaying ctb

I said an island cos of borders, no-one can just walk in. I wouldnt mind where. Since being on this site I am annoyed that I have seen so many good people, kind people. Why cant we be with each other as a group before we go, amongst the nicest, realest, most honest ppl I have ever met. Constant turnover, as this site.

Your plan? Count me in!

Noted, haha!
The Pearl islands in Panama are also really nice, I've actually been there and it's really chill. Stayed on Contadora island for a week and did some island hopping around the place, even been on the exact same island Bear Grylls did a survival episode on haha, that was cool
