  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I'm currently at the lowest point I've ever been. Yet, the other day, I cracked open a fortune cookie to find this message inside:

It was so simple, so silly. And yet, it made me think that, sometimes, the smallest most unexpected things can hit us right when we need them. They might seem silly, but they can carry just enough hope to help us take one more step forward. Little things like this can act as signs. Reminders that even in the middle of all this mess, maybe, just maybe, there's still something waiting for us if we can hold on, with enough strength and a flicker of hope to keep going.

A downward spiral can form like a very slow tornado. We can get sucked into it and think there is nothing outside of it. When something happens that allows a little light in, it is a welcome reminder that there is life outside the gathering gloom. Whatever you can do to let in a little more light such as decreasing contact with toxic people, or experimenting with unrelated activities to make connections with the world in light, can be a start to the way out.

This is why I rely so heavily on magical thinking. It turns tedious or hopeless situations into something just a little bit...more, I guess.

You might want to see what "magic" you can make even if it is small or peripheral. Finding something you can control or make happen can be a boost.

It isn't silly, it is a message that we refuse to believe most of the time. 😄
