Everything we do is futile, ephemeral, pointless and senseless...

It doesn't really matter how good or bad things are: at the "end of the day", life is just a big waste of time that will amount to absolutely NOTHING.

"Having no children is one small step for a man, but one giant leap for the end of mankind" — Neil Armstrong, the anti-natalist Astronaut

It truly is and I've certainly never had any interest in being burdened with this existence. It's so tragic how humans impose unnecessary suffering onto others by forcing life here even know there is no need for existence and nobody can be harmed by the absence of it, more than anything I wish I never existed at all.

I often wonder, what is the point of consciousness, accomplishments, failures, pleasures, displeasures.

Like it doesn't matter if you live a short horrible life or a long happy life in a sense. We all meet the same fate.

So when you go it's like nothing you did or didn't do really mattered. You can't even ponder about it or reflect on it later.

So wtf is the point of this shit?

And it's like while we're here, we have the collective option to live in pleasure until the end. But this species imposes dumb ideas on itself and makes suffering the majority of the time the case for the grand majority.

Well said
There is literally no point to living life
It's a pointless cycle of suffering
Nothing we do matters in the grand scheme of things
We will all suffer and decay then die and turn into dust

That's the frustration I have with SI when contemplating CTB.

I think it's like oh let me live out these last little bits of fun before I never see them again. It's like an addiction.

I think what will absolutely push me over the edge is when I'm certain that nothing but pure hell awaits. I think I'm also gambling on the reservation of nuclear war. But the same phrase always pops up: nothing ever happens.

But it's like I already know these funs. Whether I have them or not it's not going to matter now or later whether it's tomorrow or I'm 100 years old when I reach the inevitable end.

I agree. Everything is meaningless. Nothing matters in the end. Life seems so futile. It's a bunch of struggle for nothing. Your suffering won't matter in death. I wish that it did and that it could have meant something or was for some grand purpose that made it worth it. Unfortunately, life is suffering, and there's really no need for this suffering. It just is due to the natural state of things. All living organisms will inevitably suffer. Everything and everyone suffers by being alive

It burns my skin, it wants to keep me alive
I am the great messiah of the fallen paradise
Destroyed by my own creations, I cannot cope with my life
The truth you think you know so well, it's just a big lie

You live to fear, you lay yourself to rest
Programmed to crawl, it's just a battle with hell
We are the prey, cannot break this spell

We are the slimes that kicks in the dirt
We are the plague spreading through the world
We are the disease, the virus eating our way
We are no one, we're just living to die

We're just a lie, we're just a fake, can't wait 'till I'm finally dead
Erase my numbers and hope to never return again
Computerized, we're all neutralized
In a world that's controlled by machines (By machines)

You live to hate, 'till someone press delete
The things we do, it's just a battle in hell
We are the dirt, cannot break these chains

We are the slimes that kicks in the dirt
We are the plague spreading through the world
We are the disease, the virus eating our way
We are no one, we're just living to die (Die-die...)

Erm, didn't Neil Armstrong have children? Or are you referring to a different astronaut?

That was a simple, farcical, quotation I made up from the original one...just for some ironic sarcasm — and for some internal laughter with myself.

In the end, it doesn't really matter if he was the first man to walk on the moon or not. That is just as futile a purpose as being the one who broke the most stupid record in the Guinness book...

At least I can laugh at these ones...
