  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Hello, can anyone advise with any expertise re: life insurance? I have two life insurance policies, one is five years old and one is three years old. I have a mortgage with 50k left on it and about 30k of additional unsecured debt.

My one worry is that these policies won't pay out and that will leave my dad homeless. He currently lives in the house with the mortgage on. I've left a will with everything going to him and him being the executor of the will.

I don't think there's anything too major to worry about, but if anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it!

You need to read the terms of the policy to see if they cover suicide

I cannot really believe it but in Germany that works. You have to be insured 3 years before you do it in Germany. Then they pay. I cannot answer the question for UK. BUt the internet might provide an answer.

I want it to look like an accident or at least a questionable suicide, hoping it won't be ruled a suicide. But even if it was, I'm hoping they would still pay out.
