The truth is that life is just endless pain and suffering that will continue to exist as long as life does. Nowhere in this world offers real relief from the cruelty that exists, yet as we all know so many people continue to deny the reality of this existence with their fictional worldview about life having 'value'. This is disturbing to me as the reality of this existence is undeniable yet people refuse to admit it, trying to force others to stay here and continuing to bring life here. All of this just makes the thought of eternal sleep sound even more appealing. You are right that it's an awful world that we exist in.
