That phrase that people say to us in an attempt to make us feel better. And then I ask: What life? What future?

If it is to be the same as it has been up to now there might as well be no life.

Everything goes wrong and people expect us to pretend that everything is fine because... Life goes on.

Fuck that.
Fuck life.
And fuck all the people who hurt us and didn't even care.

In my case, if life goes on, it will just mean more misery and suffering. I see life as just being a pointless experience that we go through for the sake of it, and I want nothing to do with life. In the future things could get much worse as there is no limit as to how bad things can get. It is such a cruel and unfair world we live in and it is true that other people just make things worse.

What they mean is "I have things that I look forward to, so I won't focus on things that make me feel bad."

Nothing necessarily wrong with that, imo. It just doesn't help someone that doesn't have anything to look forward to, and could instead annoy them (as we see here).

Life is not always worth living. Forcing someone to stay no matter what happens is cruel, and not wanting to face someone's death early shouldn't be the argument to stop someone's suicide. Every individual should have the right to die just like they have the right to keep on living. I can't believe this is still an issue.

I absolutely agree with what you wrote. But I'll put a twist on the words to maybe make them a bit better. "Life goes on /with or without us/" - in a sense, it is reassuring since even when we're gone, things will keep going. This can be depressing, but it also means anyone or anything you like will be able to keep going, or at the very least the whole greater grand scheme of things (this Earth we live on) will continue. I'd rather not cause much harm in my passing to those I care for, or to the environment, so at least at this moment I can see that statement in a way that is reassuring.

The "It gets better" is the phrase that really pisses me off. I've head it many times and my life got worse. I hate it.
