This lyrics imply that once the thrill is gone it cannot come back. Can we believe that ? Can someone believe that a thrill will come to their lives after there was no THRILL for so many minutes hours days months years and is it worth waiting for ? The thrill of life. It feels good. People go on stage, run for office, become advocates, do anything for a voice a thrill adrenaline feeling awake.

This movie shows what I am talking about. Suddenly we feel the urge to be awake. From some drug or change or whatever. We are catatonic then we are not. then we are catatonic again. It is very metaphorical.

I remember when I was a kid and used to hear that song. I was deeply afraid of older age because like the song says the novelty wears off and then you're like shit, I'm still here but I'm mostly useless.
