I just wanted to say good bye and thank you for the kind words and understanding. Every one here deserves so much happiness and the world is a shitty place so it's good to find a place where you aren't judged or hurt.

Yesterday I mixed my N with cat litter and today I will delete this account - if I can. Mods if you are listening, can you delete it?

Unfortunately SS is beginning to feel like an echo chamber and I need to listen to the outside world and the voice that tells me I'd rather endure endless amounts of pain than hurt my children for one minute and try to ignore the persistent thought that they are better off without me. There are less drastic measures to remove myself from the picture anyway.

I defend non-conformity and reason. There is no definition of black metal scene, especially nowadays as it has been stripped of any meaning due to commercialization and exposure to the masses. I wouldn't call my attitude a positive one and I do hold many negative feelings towards life itself and people in general.

I don't think music is independent of personality. I think it says a lot about who we really are, and not who we project outwards.

But I get it, if you like certain music that deals with negative emotions outwardly it doesn't mean that you only feel these.

About the echo chamber, unfortunately, it's a common effect that happens with small communities like this one, especially when they consist of people who are excluded from the mainstream. When suicidals can't speak in any other places (suicidal posts are well known to be deleted from social media) or, when able to, are, treated in a bad way, they will only speak to each other, reinforcing each other's views and becoming more inflexible for other ones.

I always tell people that, if they really want to fight suicide in our society, they should start by allowing suicidals to freely express themselves and to treat them like humans, as they are.

How exactly is this place an echo chamber as opposed to say reddit? This place offers a section for those that dont want to live, and a section where people who want to recover. Where else can you get the freedom to express how you dont want to live without useless platitudes?

By the suppression of polemics and criticism of other members' viewpoints under the claim that those statements are pro-life. You can't help somebody who does not want to be helped, however in certain situations once their convictions are challenged they might have a shift in how they perceive things. In my opinion this sub-forum should be divided into a sub-board dedicated strictly to discussing methods and the more philosophical part where all the venting and discussion can take place.

Wow. That is definitely a brave person who decides to buy N and dispose of it. I could never get rid of something so coveted and useful. Okay, one might not need it now, but what about further down the line? Nobody can predict the hardships of an unknown future. Having said that I wish you well going forward into that said future. I think safe space would be a better term to describe this forum, wouldn't you agree? We simply don't tolerate invalidating, pushy or judgemental rhetoric and behaviour but this community has a wide range of opinions. What unites us or let's say most of us is the idea that we all should have a right to express and exercise our individual autonomy without interference. And I think you and only you know what's best for yourself. This is a sentiment you won't find in many other places.

Yes this does happen in the suicide section.

But there is a recovery section and I've seen life-affirming threads in there.
