Tried to hang myself at least 10 times the past few days, short drop. Each time I start getting head pain and choking feeling and will stand up or relieve the tightness. I probably do it for at least 10 seconds and I don't black out. What am I doing wrong? I was using a thin, long phone charging cable. Should I buy a rope instead?

A rope would be a much better option. The thinner the more it hurts. But too thick will tke too long to pass out

I failed at short drop more times than I can count. Did you get that head pounding and exploding feeling? I rope would definitely be better. If the ligature is too thin it'll hurt like heck. If it's too thick it'll be on your windpipe and hurt like heck.

Yeah definitely felt like my head was pounding and had loads of pressure on it. I'll get a rope then, thanks guys.

I only succeeded one time, and guess what, the rope broke while I was having a seizure in it.
I couldnt manage to get there anymore times. Ive tried countless times.
Also it was painful as fuck. Nothing painless about it. My thorat hurt, my neck felt like I pulled a tendon, I was hot and trembling and my heart was racing and my limbs twitched and I was so weak.
Next time Im hanging myself off a bridge, there will be no way to stand up and if the rope breaks again (it probably wont since I bought a good climbing rope in the place of the shit makeshift one I had) then Ill just fall into the river and drown.

Oh my gosh. I almost succeeded once. I nearly blacked out, but then that's when my body jolted itself upright. I'll have to go full too.

Firstly stop standing up if you're trying to hang yourself. Hang yourself from a spot where you can't save yourself. Don't allow yourself to be able to stand up. Hang yourself from a strong tree or a rafter.

Yeah that's why I gave up on partial hanging. You're body kinda stands up or jolts up on it's own. So going full is the best option. At least it is for me.

All the trees near me that are in a secluded area have zero branches, I don't know where else to do it. This suicide stuff is so much effort.

I know, it really is. It's a pain in the ass in itself.

My fear is: I thought I had the perfect rope (8 mm nylon, 2000 lbs capacity) but this rope is soft and slippery and when trying it with partial i feel like the knot is not steady

Learn a half hitch. It works for both sides it's what they used to drag logs with when they used horses

Both sides, so also for around the neck? from the picture it seems no different than a slip knot, I was maybe planning on tying a ring on the loose part so that end of the rope can never get through and for my attachment I'm using a buntline hitch.

If your head was pounding it means you were compressing the veins but not the arteries. You were close. You can try putting something on either side of your trachea to help add pressure to the arteries without cutting off your air. I've heard of beanbags and extra knots on the rope being used.

That's one of my issues with hanging. If you allow yourself a way out, your SI will take it but if you don't and something goes wrong........that's a terrible way to go.

I understand but there's no point in traumatizing yourself over and over with failed attempts due to partial hangings. I mean why would anyone want to do that if they really want to die?
