They must postpone his trial because there is another trial about helping other people death.
The canadian supreme court must decide if assisting other people suicide is murder.

Assisting suicide isn't murder cus murder is intentional killing someone without their consent. The person is asking to die so they are giving their consent to be killed so it can't be considered murdering the person.

I don't think that assisted suicide should be considered as murder but, unfortunately, in this extremely pro life world that we live in, assisted suicide will be treated as equivalent to murder by the majority of people. I feel so bad for KL, he doesn't deserve this at all. The fact that he's getting treated like a criminal for doing something heroic makes me extremely angry and gives me immense motivation to leave this disgusting existence once and for all as soon as I get the resources

I don't consider what he did to be murder for the same reason in the ruling. It would set a precedent if he is convicted of murder.

I think it would be outrageous to convict him of anything, let alone murder--I spoke to him on the phone in 2022 and I found him to informative and empathetic, he was a helluva nice guy
I can understand the Canadian authorities shutting his business down, because he was just too successful, and they got so many complaints from parents in many countries(just like the authorities shut down the makers of Exit Bags many years ago), but to charge him criminally, seems unjust--When I spoke to him in June 2022, never once did he 'encourage' me to ever CTB, in fact he was quite amiable and sympathetic when I told him my story

Governments be like: "OMG helping someone who wants to die is murder!!!"
Also governments: "Sending people who don't want to die to die in war is totally cool!!"
Fucking hypocrites.

It's so pathetic that that person's "victims" are being treated as if they had no autonomy and were coerced into suicide. I would be disgusted for someone to be treated that way after they gave me what I needed to kill myself. It's just more instances of pro lifers seeking to damage and control others, just repulsive and not empathisable.

Ultimately, the "victims" were the one who seek out his website, paid for the product and mixed and drank it. It a tragedy that they felt that they had to do it but it was their choice to leave.
Sad that his trial was pushed to next year, because I wanted to see the end of it. I might not be year next year.

No, but it is a criminal offence. Except in Switzerland. Obviously you don't have to benefit from death.
