content warning! images of blood. Its not a lot and its not graphic but heres a warning just in case.
got my sn in the mail today and since its not from de/dd i decided to test it. its from p-c, the fishing one, and claims its "99% pure technical grade". I couldnt get much blood for the test since im unbelievably squeamish about that kind of stuff. like seriously i feel faint just looking at someone else's blood/cut. so i tried making a small cut but i couldnt get it deep enough, so i decided to just puncture one ofthe veins on the back of my hand with the knife tip. It worked suprisingly well (i know i got it cause some blood quickly gushed up immediately after the prick feeling) , only thing is, it swelled up and closed the wound off almost instantly so I only got a couple drops out. anyway, after adding some grains of sn to the drop, it turned dark brown and jellied up. It wasnt just regular oxidation cause the blood on the knife was still the old red.
on a paper towel to see easier:
So i think ill be good to use this stuff.
Anyway its crazy how insistent the body is on protecting itself. Im fine with blood draws, ive pierced my own lobes 3 times, and have accidentaly sliced off and hit an artery in one of my fingers which did not stop bleeding for a good while. All of these times have felt infinitely less nauseating than this. The piercing was hard and i felt the faintness but I never had to take more than a few seconds to breathe. The finger slicing i wasnt affected one bit. Even though my finger would not stop bleeding, I didnt feel anything at all. But for this little prick, I had to put my head between my knees a few times. Even after I was done with everything. All because I had the intention of harming myself. Piercings didnt count I guess since my thought process was more focused on: "i want to put jewelry in my ear."
