I have giant trees (>100 ft≈30.5 m) in the forest behind my house.
One of these trees has a co-dominant branch; its trunk splits into a V-shape from which two distinct stems grow. One of the stems is abnormally large and is therefore slanted into what's called a widow-maker. Essentially, it's leaning on and entirely supported by another, taller tree, forming a sort of 'bridge.' Here's a picture I found online that sorta resembles the situation:"
IMG 3611 (Sorry for the pixelation)
My plan is to scale that 'bridge,' climb onto the taller tree, and just jump.
Now I'm 140 lbs≈63.5 kgs, so my first question is whether or not the branch will be able to support my weight? The tree is a bit thicker than the one pictured above.
Next, I would like to know whether the fall is high enough for me to quickly die from.
Finally, would the leaf-covered dirt ground cushion my fall? I'm not too worried about other things breaking it, as the forest behind my house is quite spread out and there's nothing near said tree that could do so.
Thanks a lot if you took the time to read all of this, and sorry if this is a dumb idea 😅.

Branches will soften the fall, you are likely to end up just badly injured.

It's very unlikely to work (to not say outright impossible), but if you really want to die "by tree", it's probably best to hang yourself but it also requires material (ie: a rope or something to hang yourself with) but if the trees are tall enough, you could get away with a long drop, which is less painful and briefer than a short drop, your neck just snaps and the lights go out, but it's also more risky (from my understanding) if it fails, as the consequences and potential injuries are a lot more severe

Also, sort of unrelated but I had no idea that it was called a widow maker, it's actually such a cool name, I learned something new, thank you so much
