which is easier to do?

I was going to jump off from the 19th floor a couple months ago in june but I backed off because jumping took too many steps and I'm afraid of heights. The first step was to watch if someone is watching me, then the 2nd step is to go on the chair, then go on the table and climb over the glass balustrade and while I was doing this I was staring at the ground, and by that time there's a good chance someone would've noticed, got me out and callled the police and then I had to jump but by that time I would've gottent too scared and backed off.
But wouldnt it have been easier if I had xanax and alcohol? wouldn't it make me less scared?
I would rather get hit by a train but I don't know any fast train station near me. I'm in portugal. please help.
tell me what you think

Please don't burden the train conductor with that. I know people in my extended family who have PTSD and such because of that very reason.

As someone who has considered this method, when you're pushed to your absolute limits it's very difficult to care or have empathy when searching for a way out.

Studies have shown that every train conductor experiences 1-5 suicides during their career, and they are aware that something like that can happen.

It sucks tho and it's best to avoid it if you have any better options available

Personally I'd chose the former, some have a harder time with SI kicking in either before letting go but also after letting go, I don't know how pleasant it is to have panic and regret while you're falling but if you're like me and find some sort of bliss in it then go for that.

Only thing I'd think about is making sure you don't accidentally hit a passing bystander.

Hope you find peace and fly high friend.

I think, you're coming from a considerate and compassionate perspective and that deserves to be acknowledged.

I would also like to mention that, suicide is going to affect a lot of people in our lives in severely detrimental ways. We're going to "burden" lots more people than the train conductor. Unfortunately it is the sacrifice we must make if we want to leave this world. At the end of the day, there will be some poor paramedic finding our body that we'll be traumatizing.

Frankly I think I could lie down on a train track a lot more easily than I could jump

19th floor jump is pretty solid ngl, just make sure u will land on concrete ground and not grass or a car, do it late at night so no one will see u, alcohol can help with si and idk thinking of ur worst memory or smthn that triggers u enough to jump. as for the fall, it'll be over before u know it. seen a lot of jumping videos on wpd and u can see how easy it is to just jump to ur death.

I'm not discouraging you to attempt but have you seen videos of the aftermath of a body after jumping of from a building the head Is split open the body is crushed jumping infront of a train is worse the body is split in half and flesh is grinded into pieces personally I wouldn't go out this way but at the end it's for you to decide there's much peaceful ways to ctb like night night method, hanging,SN,monoxide poisoning etc I'm just asking you to reconsider your plan.
