As someone who would hate to suffer to death, I do NOT want to feel myself drowning. But if I jump from a bridge high enough, could I not just pass out on impact and avoid the pain of drowning? Later I can try to show a picture of the bridge for reference.

you would need a strong sedative to render you completely unconscious just before falling into the water

It's unlikely but possible. I wouldn't try it unless the bridge was reaaally high. that being said, a similar effect maybe could be achieved by use of some sort of sedative with any height bridge. Give it some more thought and see what you come up with.

What's the air temperature? If you jumped and managed to swim to the bank you could.still suffer hypothermia. It from whatbtoy read is quite painless as your body doesnt feel the chill. Just need to keep your clothes on

What sedative would you suggest?

Jumping is one of the worst ways to go trust me. You survival instincts will kick in and if you do survive, which is quite a high chance you'll be left traumatised and probably severely injured. It takes a lot to actually jump too, it's terrifying. I'd rather suffer with an overdose than go through that again. I hope you can find peace <3

When I was working at the hospital, I met a patient who had tried to commit suicide by jumping from a building of more than 50 meters. The result: fractures of the legs, pelvis and spine with damage to the spinal cord, he will never be able to walk again and will not be able to control his bladder and the sphincter of his anus. he was 19 years old. I really don't recommend this type of method, there are much safer and less painful ways.

planned years to jump off a cliff. beneath was about 200metre drop, sharp basalt rock and and an arctic current not releasing your body until it reaches the south pole.

my stupid legs failed me up there and cramped so hard like never before. i couldnt move for 10 minutes

It's crazy how your body stops you. I survived by pure luck as I fell onto a ledge about 25ft down but if I had gone all the way I wouldn't be here. I still remember how scary it was and how it felt to land. It's definitely the worst way to go. I'm glad you're still here.

it is quite impressive.
that must have been a profound impact on so many layers. the mind can go to weird places sometimes. some of those revelations are so elusive it seems almost forbidden. but i am glad many are still vivid.

i am also glad you are here
