Question, when jumping from a balcony, should I jump front facing (like sky diving), or from the back (falling looking up at the sky)?

I don't think it makes a difference damage-wise. There might be less fear if you look up.

Man. Jumping is one method available to me but I know I could never do it. There are high bridges in my state where you'd fall over ten seconds. Just imagine that. I've heard that terror sometimes gives people heart attacks on the way down.

Sorry if I'm scaring you out of your method.

I don't think it overly matters if you're high enough. You ideally want to make sure nobody can be impacted directly by your fall which I imagine is difficult from most balconies.

jumping back avoids that you can put reflexively your hands up to protects your head ... I've heard of that.. someone jumps with a bag over his head because of this. he does it twice, first survived (wihtout bag) and second died with bag over head.. (not really high, 4 stories..)
but I think, when it's high enough it doesn't matter...like the others said.
Never thought about jumping with the view up to the sky lol .. but yeah is an option :D

I just asked tons of AI (Claude 4.6, Grok, Gemini and GPT, all in paid versions). They really give different results. Most of them say it's more deadly when you jump and land on your back.

Only thing you must avoid is landing on your feet. It's way less deadly than it seems.
never ever ever ever trust ai for that stuff!! even the paid versions!! it does not know how to properly fact check anything and relying on it for life-or-death information can and will get you hurt!!
