  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

sales.

the money can be like no other. problem is, not everyone's built for it. if you have solid interpersonal skills, i would definitely try sales, whether it's in fin, tech, software, anything SaaS related is filled with people who didn't attend college, but are better off than their counterparts who have gotten a degree and pursued a particular field.

best of luck.
You are right the money in sales can be good. After working in customer service with a sales element for half a year I got a very solid paying sales job pretty quickly. Problem is, I discovered I can't live with myself, I felt scummy and quit after a week because I definitely was not helping people, I knew I couldn't do it longterm. Now I'm doing a cybersecurity bootcamp.

@lessthanperfect In regards to your question, another option you can consider is IT/cybersecurity. There are bootcamps like the one I'm doing but they are pretty expensive (in my case got funding for it through a government program). You can acquire some basic knowledge about networks and operating systems (google IT support course on coursera is one way to do that, or you can do the A+ by compTIA which is very respected, though to just got some IT job you really don't need to know much), get an IT support / helpdesk job, and eventually become a system administrator, system specialist, network specialist or go transition into cybersecurity (getting a job as a SOC analyst is pretty easy and the job itself is not that hard) . You'll probably need to keep acquiring knowledge at home and be curious and willing to learn at least at the start of your career to get to those better roles though. IT (and cybersecurity even moreso) pays well, and the working conditions are generally pretty good too.
