Honestly, I didn't understand it at first but I realized just now what it does to me. Every time I try looking for job offers online I just wanna fucking die and not think about anything else. I just keep seeing how they all ask for experience and some high education for simple fucking jobs. And I just feel like I'm so not enough like I'm incapable like I'm not worthy to even compete for that job, you know? I fucking hate this. Just trying to find a job makes me want to kill myself so fucking bad, it becomes one of the main factors of my suicide.

Anyone can relate?

Love,
—Alec.

I'm unemployed and I fucking despise job hunting. To me it's all just too phoney and like I should be begging them or something to do some bullshit job for bullshit pay.

It's probably the biggest problem in my life. I detest interviews, I'm terrible at them and have close to zero experience so I have nothing to talk about. I gave up job searching a while ago because I couldn't take another failed interview, hell I couldn't even bring myself to show up at another interview. People say to just shrug it off and continue the search, but I find that impossible.

Naturally, I'm headed towards poverty and homelessness. That's a humiliation I could not bear. I can't wait for this hell called life to end.

In Britain it's really hard to get a job because the job centre has made it increasingly difficult for job seekers to find work. They make you feel worthless for being on the dole. They are cruel now. If you don't find work within a certain amount of time, they send you on work programs or/and mandatory work experience, where you are forced to work in a charity shop or supermarket for your job seekers allowance. This can last up to 6 months to 2 years. It's terrible. This is in Britain by the way.

I can definitely relate to this. When I applied for my first job, the interview was so nerve-wracking. I felt like I was being judged and I couldn't stop over-analyzing every word I said and every movement I made. I was so self-conscious throughout the entire interview. I just wanted to cover my face from embarrassment after each thing I said. When I actually got the job, I couldn't believe it. I felt like I was going to make a mistake at any moment and embarrass myself and they were going to realize what a big mistake they made hiring me. Even though it was such a simple, easy job. I only worked there for a couple months, but I quit as soon as I could because I couldn't handle it. I felt like such a failure for not being able to handle such an easy job with such minimal social interaction. Even that was too much for me. It made me feel like I'll never be able to handle anything in life. Acting like I was happy and feeling normal for the sake of the job was also so exhausting.

looking for a job is boring and stressful, today you need all kinds of skills for a simple job, in addition to having to humble yourself in a bad job and don't even know how long you will be in it

Just keep throwing your resume at every job, dont look at what skills they want. Then when you go to your mcdonalds interview just say "yes, i am willing to learn and i will do what you say and i am highly motivated."

Keep throwing shit until it sticks to the wall. Don't linger on the specifics...unless its a job at NASA or something, then you will have to look into more. But a fast food joint or a factory job, just throw that shit at em', put your feet up and keep your phone on. They will call for an interview.

I hate it. You have to sell yourself like a product, advertise and lie to look better than thousands of others applying for same position. Good luck doing that if you have social anxiety so interviews are a torture and pretending makes it worse. The requirements are for perfect candidate who usually doesn't exist so take them with a grain of salt. What sucks is to really find if the job is for you should just work there which is impossible since you can't get through recruitment process. How am I supposed to get a job I like in life if i can't even try them?

It's because HR employees have to justify their useless existence by making up bullshit requirements for jobs.

"Oh I didn't get a good feeling from your motivation letter"
"You don't have enough job experience for this simple job that anybody can do easily"

It's so ridiculous and pointless.
