Have you tried looking up their names in the member search? That should tell you if they are still active or not and the last time they posted. I think the user you mentioned with emojis in their username isn't on here anymore, but I could be wrong. I second FuneralCry's suggestion to post on the user discussion forum. That is where most people go if they want to know where a user is at. I hope this helped a little and you're able to find your friends!
