I think she used a rifle instead of a shotgun, (not sure which caliber, might not have been sufficient) and also it's very likely she placed the firearm incorrectly (e.g. aiming underneath the chin). If using a firearm to CTB, placement and caliber ARE very, very important factors because there is NO going back once you fail and the consequences are catastrophic (social fallout, aftermath, injuries, being a vegetable, etc.).

Thats why suicide via impulse is a really bad idea.

What people do on here is a lot more wise, do a lot of research into the methods so when you do ctb you do it correctly and minimize risks.

Well to be honest, I found this repulsive. Not because I thought the woman's face was repulsive but because of how much humans are addicted to living and how they will rationalize the most abhorrent conditions into some sort of meaningful experience.

Honestly if I were her I wouldn't look at myself in the mirror ever again. Not for the aspect but it would remind me that I did that to myself and I couldn't forgive myself that. But it's her life, if she decides to go on, good for her.

She only failed due to the fact that she shot under her chin and the bullet didn't even go through the brain. Every failed gun attempt I have seen was from shooting under the chin and sometimes through the temple. I still think a gun is one of the best methods. People just have to know what they are doing.

I would like to know about any examples of failed attempts that involved a different aim position, like towards the brainstem.

Just put the girl down. She doesn't want to live. Its her right. It's like why not just put her down after her failed attempt. They doing all this for someone who has the right she doesn't want to be alive. It doesn't make sense. She gonna do it again. Then to live with that deformity. I've seen a few videos of her, I don't remember if it is in this one, but she says that she's glad she survived. Weird but who knows, maybe most failed attempt suicidals regret it, even tho I think it's hard to believe.

Oh okay. When my sister had her failed attempt she regrets everyday she was found to soon. She still talks about her next attempt when she's ready. I also knew a boy who kept jumping until he was successful. I remember this one show where this dude was shot and was devastated they brought him back to life to this "cruel" world which were his exact words. He wasn't even suicidal. Maybe some people do regret it. Idk. Everyone is different I guess

I saw this video a while back. If I recall, she shot herself because of a breakup but expressed she was in no way suicidal. It was purely on impulse. That's what always stuck with me, that she wasn't even suicidal, and she's still here.

First he used a sawn off shotgun and shot himself in the chest, but was still alive so he got up and walked to get a pistol which he then used to shoot himself in the head. Still alive, so he reloaded the sawn off shotgun and this time blew his throat out. Yes....still alive, so he took the sawn off shotgun again and pointed it too, i think his chest area again & using her toes pulled the trigger. FOUR TIMES IT TOOK TO DIE. I could not believe this when i was reading it.

This was the case i was reading about on wiki about multiple gunshot suicides...........One particular case has been documented from Australia. In February 1995, a man committed suicide on parkland in Canberra. He took a pump action shotgun and shot himself in the chest. The load passed through the chest without hitting a rib, and went out the other side. He then walked fifteen meters, pulled out a pistol and shot himself in the head, once again surviving the shot. After reloading the shotgun, he leaned the shotgun against his throat, and shot his throat and part of his jaw. He then reloaded a final time, walked 200 meters to a hill, sat down on the slope, held the gun against his chest with his hands and operated the trigger with his toes. This shot entered the thoracic cavity and demolished the heart, killing him.[5][6]

I would really struggle if I looked disfigured after an attempt. That would be so hard. I wonder how she feels everyday now days. I wonder if she thinks about trying again?
