Life is a highway, why not be the man in my trunk?

I have decided to take my own life after my dog passes away, so likely between 3-7 years from now. I'm only waiting for my dog because he would not know where I went, making him scared and confused. Unless something changes, I'm CTB as soon as is expedient.

Just curious, how long has it been since you've made that decision?
At least for me, ever since I've accepted my suicide as inevitable, life has felt entirely different, you?

P.S.
I bet that dog is a good boy!
Girl maybe?

He is a good boy... he's been the only thing keeping me alive for the last three years.

It's just a realization I have come to. Before, I had accepted that I was probably going to CTB at some point, but I had no timeframe. Now I do.

Wow, planning 3-7 years early, I never thought I would see this in my life. How much have you planned so far, I'm assuming not much, you can PM me if you want help already but I'm not sure if you want to think about suicide all the time 3-7 years before you commit, and you could also get better in that time, so thinking about that could be annoying since you don't want anything to do with them.

Loyal pets are a blessing, if you care about them it's the same as parents taking care of their children. You wait for the time they can fly on their own and understand in the case of children, and you wait for your pet to go before you, because loyalty is to be given back.

I already have a method in mind; Argon through a facemask while laying in my bed.

I cannot control when I do or don't think about killing myself. I think of suicide pretty much every day at this point.

I'd do it much sooner if my dog wasn't here. I'm not going to kill him, and he's my only friend left.

It might get better, which is why it's 3-7 years, not 3-7 days. I personally don't think it will because of past experience of having hope for improvement cruelly taken away.

That was also my intention, but I had 2 childhood dogs, and one passed before the other. Thanks to my job with dogs, I very quickly took another one home about a year after my first had passed to be a companion for my remaining dog, without thinking about suicide or how my parents would care for her without me. I was only thinking about my boy and giving him someone to play with while rescuing another pup in the process.

Now my boy has been gone for 2 years, and we have 2 dogs he befriended before passing. I would like to stay for them, but they never became as attached to me as my childhood dogs, so I'd like to save up money for my parents to take care of them with before I die. They don't live with me anyway, even though I pay for everything for them, since my apartment doesn't allow pets. They love me, but don't stress or grieve when I'm not at my parent's for long periods of time.

It's very thoughtful and kind of you to stay for your dog, and I know he appreciates it. My boy grieved so hard after our first girl had passed, and became a totally different dog. He slightly recovered after making new friends, but your dog will benefit greatly from his loved one staying alive to spend time with him. I hope you find some joy in the meantime ❣️
