I have a very strong support about 8 ft off the. Ground. Should I go partial with a necktie. (would be mostly standing). Or I could lower myself with a braided metal cable. Won't break at least. Last option is a nylon strap for sex restraints. Worried about that breaking. I can do a proper slip or a slip with carabeener

8ft off the ground sounds like you could go for full? Less chance of it going wrong.

The strap sounds best. A carabineer would make a good slip knot. Go for full. Partial lets you stand up and fail.
