I read an article on a 21 year old. She took 160 50 mg soft gels of dph and then 48 10 mg fast dissolve melatonin. She was found dead 27 hours later. It is interesting that if overdoses usually don't work how such a young woman successfully overdosed using this method.. What are your guys thoughts on this? Stories like this make me want to try to attempt but I am also terrified of it failing. I wish we could predict if an overdose would actually kill us or not.

This is simple to answer: Quite possible. 7.5g of Diphenhydramine is considered the line. She had 8. And the melatonin. And might have been a small person. See this paper for a study on such things.
Overdose of benadryl is prevalent. Lots of places don't write benadryl anymore.
Actually, if you want to look into options other than the well known ones in the PPEH or discussed on this site, simply look for the LD-50 of it online, i.e., the lethal dosage that might kill. Here is a graphic that lists lethal dosage even for water and milk.

That I am not sure of. I am just reading articles and such trying to find a way that I can CTB.

I did see that, I just wonder how effective it really is or is this a rare thing to die from.

This wasn't a simple overdose she took 8,000g of Benadryl, that's dying in absolute pain!

I took 3,000g and was found.... I flatlined in the hospital and I was brought back . High dosages of Benadryl are completely unpredictable but know that if you plan to use it to ctb it will a painful way to go .

Right. no way to go. tons of formal literature explaining that. it's like like jumping is common but messy, goes wrong... The ppeh and other dignified death folks usually factor all this in their suggestions.. ppeh first chapters for example...

That's the thing. It doesn't seem like there are any guaranteed exits. I don't care how boring the exit is either, however, I do need a method that I am capable of doing myself. I am really struggling with this..

This is absolutely it. I have started responding to OD threads that yes, you can die from an overdose, however, it is highly unpredictable, and most evidence we have so far shows that many more people fail than are successful.
