Haha yeah when I tried in April I drank like half of it because I was doing it slowly because of how bad it tasted. I ended up not being able to move before I was able to finish it lmao

It's a big decision and, thankfully, one that isn't time sensitive. Knowing I always have the option is actually a very great comfort.

Yeah it's hard, SI is a pain. I took the glass in my hand, looked at it and my heart started racing. I didn't drink any of it, all I could think was "I can't do this". That was a few months ago, I'm thinking about trying again soon.

It really is. Having the option there helps regain so much control and comfort.

For me that has faded. Now I'm just scared of it failing. :aw:

I'd be interested in hearing why no one in this thread is opting for the inert gas method, which is ostensibly far less painful?

What happened after you drank half of it? Were you sick? Did you pass out?

It takes a solid plan, the right equipment etc. It's not that easy.
I didn't drink any of it, all I could think was "I can't do this".
For me all it took was that picture someone posted of the glass they had prepared of SN all ready to drink. I looked at that and it looked so gross and I thought "I could never drink that."

A few things happened. First I got sick, then I kinda just fell over (I was sitting up because I was trying to drink the rest), then my body froze up while I was still conscious. I was just laying there unable to move in a lot of distress. Not pain, just mental distress. Then I think I was semi-conscious for a minute before passing out, but honestly I can't remember if the memory of me being like, semi-conscious was from after I was already in the hospital or before. It was an experience. And for the record, I did this without any sort of antiemetic or anything at all. Just drinking it straight up with little preparation. I did it somewhat on a whim more than anything.

How did you get to the hospital?

PPH says you can die from just drinking 10 grams of it.

I guess I was making too much noise and my brother heard me, asked me about it, and when I realized I couldn't hide it I just told him what happened and he called 911

Honestly, I find it much easier to drink SN than hang myself. I chickened out when I tried to hang myself because it was unbearable. I did a bit of SN and I vomited for the first time in almost 9 years. I, however, found vomiting a bit unbearable for me, but if I were required to choose between SN and hanging, I'd definitely choose SN.

It is very hard. I've backed out multiple times. I think for me it's mostly the uncomfortable symptoms from the SN. I'm working on getting over that fear.

This is the stuff of nightmares. Unable to move but conscious. What if you stay that way!

Id never go the SN route even if I could get my hands on it. Imagine having a change of mind after drinking it and going into a panic? I'm going with Nitrogen one day so I can go peacefully and be able to change my mind right up until I'm unconscious.

I apologize for asking, I'm quite new to the site. ( First reply I've ever made, I think. ) What does SN stand for ? Also, when you say CTB do you mean 'Cease to Breathe' or something else.

I know I seem quite under knowledged, and I apologize.

I don't know either I once read that 90% or so people that are given the green light by dignitas decided not to go ahead with it. No Reason cited as to why.
