I have been on this forum for a while and have never heard anything about doctors who secretly help people but that's not to say it isn't possible. Of course if someone knew of something I would love to know as well. I would think with all the doctors there are in the world there would be someone who might do this, but then again it might be harder for them to get away with it considering today's technology.

One thing I read which makes sense is when you're in the hospital or especially hospice they will just do it with sedatives and morphine which they can justify because they are supposed to make you comfortable so if you have pain they sometimes do it after talking to the family. But I have read they are usually the doctors who don't say they advocate for right to die or MAiD. I also see that when doctors are suspected of it it is a family member who didn't agree. If you look there are doctors like Kevorkian, Marc VanHoey, many who write books, are on the board at Final Exit organizations, many court cases where doctors have gone to court to try to make it legal, that's why we have assisted death for some people. If you pay you can go to some places. Look at how many are approved for mental health now. If it's legal for some people in some places for some reason shouldn't it be legal for us all? I understand we do want people to try to get better but there are many who can't even when we really try. It is understandable to not make it so easy as if a life isn't important. We do need to try everything first. I'm speaking for myself that letting me live this way is making me suffer. I know I haven't mentioned many doctors just helping quietly because names aren't mentioned and it's kept underground from what I see. I know I have read many people say thier spouse got a bad diagnosis and wrote to Nitschke and he mailed them something. I wish I knew someone like that.
