I was born in a really really poor country when i was a teeneger i moved away to a neighbor country that is also poor but no as my old country.
Since then i have face problems as discrimination,horrible labor conditions and having to live in the bottom of society despite that i used to be on a good spot in my native land.
I feel that if my initial conditions just made stay stuck forever and they will be a burden i will carry to the grave

I live in England and I do not like the area where I live in. There is too much noise and that can make me feel worse. I think overall I would be suicidal no matter where I lived and what happened. Nothing would ever make me want to stay alive.

I was born in one of the richest countries in the world and from my earliest days those who couldn't tolerate my sheer existence dominated my life. I never knew the meaning of "discrimination" up until adulthood, for being hunted, beaten, kicked and spat upon was an almost daily routine for me.

So wealth or poverty got nothing to do with it. Not sure if its fate or bad luck, but some people are just more accepting of differences than others. Its ez to tell yourself "its no fault of yours"


But to make you believe that, well that's a trick I never fully achieved.

I would say more so its the utter and complete lack of care in the country that makes me want to die. There's little to no resources for those struggling with mental health issues unless you got deep pockets or willing to risk a GFM, which probably won't draw any attention because nobody cares about you if you're an adult without a kid

There are plenty of mental health resources in my country of birth. But only Alzheimer could cure me of my memories and why go through lengthy treatment at my age and position in life?
What would I have to gain from that?

If its "only" your depression that makes your life miserable then I'd say: "go seek treatment at any cost". Even if it has to be as an illegal immigrant, in some well off nation. Because once your depression is gone, life can turn out to be full of chances.

Me on the other hand, I'd still be stuck in a place that hated me since I was old enough to walk. And by now I more than return that favor.

I guess it doesn't matter if you're born poor or rich. Or in a good or bad country. Well yes it does to some point. I guess being born in the middle of a war would be terrible, but some make it out of there and still have a good life. Some get born with nothing and rise and have everything and is happy to the end of their life. I believe it's a mix. Where you are born, who you are, your upbringing, and maybe most of all your mental state, willpower and determination.

I am from Denmark. They say we have one of the best social systems in the world. Everybody goes to doctor and hospital for free, payed by taxes. If you're unemployed you can get money from the government. And still survive. To some point.

But alot of people are still miserable. We have been called the happiest country in the world. I've always laugh at that, because a lot of people are suffering.

I guess it's a mix of things, and definitely genetics and luck, that will determine your fate from birth.

I didn't have the right genetics from start and the right parents. That's for sure. We have a lot of opportunities in Denmark, but that's not always a good thing, if you're fucked mentally.

It's impossible for me to know for sure since I have only lived in the U.S. However, I doubt that my country has anything to do with it. According to my psychiatrist if I was born in India people would be blunter with their discrimination.

Absolutely. Third world shithole that for some reason its citizens are extremely proud of and obsessed with -- to the extent of litereally jailing anyone who happens to mildly criticize it anywhere. I'm sure there are a few even here that'd call for my arrest for this very post. These patriots, however, refuse to improve themselves in any way, follow even simple rules, keep electing literal criminals to power etc etc, and basically do everything else that keeps the country in its pathetic state. Almost like their superfluous patriotic display is just theater and virtue signalling to cover for the fact that the country is a shithole and they play a huge part in it. There's massive income inequality, poverty, crimes against women and children, terrible infrastructure and on and on. And the less said about the dominant political ideology, the better.

In short, I don't identify with my countrymen in any aspect. Quite literally the only positive about being from here, IMO, is the delicious food. I'm trying hard, but can't think of even one other thing I like about this country. They say birth is a lottery and I lost my entire life savings in one draw.
