Is this a viable method?

In high school I had this friend who kept trying to CTB over and over with various different methods. She finally got the job done by basically tying a trash bag over herself and spraying keyboard duster inside until she suffocated.

I didn't get a ton of details from her family but I assume if it was super painful or uncomfortable she could've easily ripped out of the bag right? Does anyone know more about this method, how effective it is and how painless?

the spray contains Bitterant coating to discourage inhaling it , other than that I've got no idea how effective or painful this method is. I'm not sure how the gas contributes to the suffocation in this method

Duster will knock you out and facilitate many methods. A bag over the head is easier.
