In my case there are things that makes me want to stay just to satisfy my curiosity. Apart from missing the obvious such as relationships, I'd like to know how society will look like during the years that I could still be alive. Or new science discoveries. Will I miss a human getting to Mars?

Same. I find discoveries fascinating; the ocean, space, & forest. I wish I'd made it all around the world to experience different cultures & landscapes... & to have wasted at least a week of my life under the sun in a hammock in the water in the Maldives sipping mimosas & margaritas. :sunglasses:

I won't be able to miss anything because I will be dead. But while I am living I miss everything because I have nothing. I miss by missing out.

I would not miss anything. No pets, no family, no friends, no employer,no nothing. If anything I have a watch collection that is nice and i might miss wearing one of the time pieces now and then. Of course the main thing I would miss is all of you folks here on ss. All of YOU are my FAMILY.

My children.
I feel very little these days but I do think about my 4 year old being told mommy isn't coming back and that makes me cry.
But it's the best thing in the long run. It gives her a chance.

I used to think I'd miss everyone I love, but that's no longer the case everything I do seems to upset or hurt someone's feelings. So clearly my 3 wonderful children would be better off without such a role model in their lives. Over the last 2 weeks my mental health has collapsed and the only sense of peace I get is the thought of no longer being in this world where I'm not loved or considered worth being with.
2 solid plans to CBT if one doesn't work then keep trying until it does

The science discovery I can relate I will miss that, always wished I could of been of those discoveries, but I'm not intelligent enough, I'd probably be a nuisance and I would like to know how Boruto, an Anime I watch weekly ends, but whatever, if I could I'd fast forward my life to those moment then CTB. I have nothing to live for on the daily.

Will I miss a human getting to Mars?

What would we do on Mars?

The mission would cost like feeding (permanently) half of Earth's population (perhaps even more), and to what purpose would we go to the red-planet?
We already know Mars isn't habitable, no water, no fertile land, eternal cold and darkness...
The whole "space program" should be terminated altogether and the trillions of dollars redirected into raising the standard of living ON THIS planet.
There are enough resources on Earth for ALL of us, regardless of our numbers, as long as our "head-count" is reasonable and as long as we use those heads.
What would be a "reasonable" number?

Well, taking into consideration that all 7,8 billion of us would fit, standing together next to each other, onto one New Zealand or in any SINGLE medium-sized state of the US... we see that the planet is not actually and physically overpopulated... It is just our way of life and a neverending greed and ambition of the several ultra-rich families that have by force seized the almost entire global capital and set the agenda.

If the wealth was fairly distributed, even a population of 50 billion would be sustainable and could live harmoniously. But eventual end of this civilization has better odds than such a positive turn in the evolution of the human mind. The man will remain a slave until the end of times.

I don't know if that will EVER happen, but I would only like to be "awakened" to witness the time when the billions of the underprivileged take the justice into their own hands and lynch the 100 organisms from the top of that infamous pyramid which had kept the world enslaved for most of its history.

The (slow and painful) death of those appx. 100 multi-billionaires and a fair redistribution of the wealth they have stolen over centuries would be a good step forward and the turning point towards survival of our civilization.

But since the times of such revolutions are long gone, we can only dream and imagine what it would have been like if the human race actually used its potential to the full with a little more altruism and less greed.. How our world would be different if MAN was inherently GOOD?

Other than the public execution of the world's "deep state" (100 people, on average 100 years old each), I would only miss the NBA basketball. :smiling:

There are way too many things I will never experience or know about, too many to bother.

Or you're talking about things that we have in life and would miss if we were able to feel like we're missing out even after death? Then I'd say dreams and companions I was lucky to meet in life.

Everything I'd miss, I miss already and don't care to live without.

I was just a checkbox or two on my to-do list away from dying this time last year. I remember being really sad because things I'd looked forward to for years were finally about to happen and I wasn't going to be able to experience them. But I pushed through and you know what happened? I still haven't done most of those things because I was too depressed to enjoy or care, plus the whole world went insane. So I guess it really doesn't matter, does it?

There are lots of things I'll miss, my doggy, my family, my favourite foods.

I don't want to be dead, I just don't want to deal with this crippling mental illness anymore.

I'd miss the release of some of my favourite series or games i guess...Typical weeaboo but i'd love to see how the future fire emblem series or persona or Shin megami Tensei series will turn out but it's not that much of a problem you know. Also per pure curiosity i'd like to see how the current events from 2020 will impact the world or my country in the next ten to twenty years (badly of course, but i wanna see how, besides the economical side of it because obviously the middle class and the poor will obviously eat shit)
Also love your pfp, hotel dusk/last window were my favorite games on ds, it's sad Cing went bankrupt...

Anybody here interested in 4K 240FPS gaming? I kind of wanted to live to see that but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Honestly, no. I don't think I'd miss anything and that realisation sometimes makes me feel like I'm just some ghost that's not really here. I've never understood the concept of "missing" something. I've personally never felt it.

My brothers, my cats, my grampy. My cats know and understand but my grampy and my brothers dont. My grampy knows his daughter's a c*nt but he thinks I got better. My brothers are too little to understand. There's also my husband and my friend. They know everything. They understand.
