Discussion Is there something you are passionate about?

I just cut my nails. It feels like my nails getting longer and me having to cut them is my only measurement of time, because each day of my life is the same.

I've got uni so I have to study and attend zoom classes, besides that there isn't much. I consume media all day; movies, shows, books, browsing the Web and so on. Most of the time I have to do multiple things at once, because one activity alone doesn't keep my attention for long.

I don't have a purpose at all. Everything I do is worthless and so am I. I know that I'd have to develop actual hobbies that go beyond simply consuming to fix that. Guess I'm complacent in my daily escapism and don't really have a passion for anything.

Enough of my whining, I'd like to know what you do all day and if there is something you are passionate about?

I'm passionate about useless trivia about the things I'm interested in. The more useless, the better. Unfortunately my memory has been failing me of late so sometimes I can't even cling onto that as a thing to brag about.

I have spent at least 3000 hours in Skyrim, and about thrice as much in CS 1.6, so you can say I used to be passionate about some video games in particular.

Probably my main passion for the last couple of years is to compulsively check every single English word, idiom, and catchphrase that I'm not familiar with, have forgotten, or for which I'm looking for a detailed description, like what's the definition, possible origins, if it describes an object, how does that object look in google pics, context (applications), what does it rhyme with, what's the difference between another, similar in meaning word, etc.. I just did that while writing this comment. I'm doing this in the middle of watching cartoons and movies, playing games, reading, having a correspondence with another person. I can't fathom having a meaningful conversation without keeping a few dictionaries open and ready to use.

I am not sure. I guess I like what I am studying. I have been interested in it for year and wanted to do it at uni but I don't really have the motivation for that anymore. I feel like I just don't feel strong feelings towards anything tbh. I was sitting a few days ago trying to figure out if there actually is anything I would wanna do with my life that could motivate me to recover, but I can't think of anything.

this is always a difficult question, but always lovely to hear people talk about their passions as well.
I spend a lot of time doing what I can in terms of managing symptoms, so I spend a lot of time passing time. I listen to a lot of music- I'm not really into TV or film outside of select films and a couple shows. I listen to music while I do everything, and if I'm not listening, I'm writing, practicing. I enjoy language and literature and can usually be relied on to be in the middle of at least 6 books at once - poetry, philosophy, mythology, and sometimes fiction but I'm very selective with it.
what's been holding me up from the sea lately has been the goal of getting back into music when the world is more safe to venture out into.

It used to be drawing, journaling or origami but nowadays I can't seem to find the motivation.

I resort to consuming media all day as well. At least reading is still kind of engaging and can be done offline.
