Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Hey all,

I'm facing potential health decline over the next few months/years, as I develop new debilitating symptoms rapidly. I also have experienced extremely nightmarish mental health conditions due to meds and don't want to potentially be trapped in a living nightmare with no way of dying while my health declines. Having access to end of life options, even if I'm "just" mentally ill, is really important to me and I don't want to have to kill myself before I lose the autonomy to kill myself. Does anyone have an idea of the best country to move to in these circumstances? Are there any services or people I can consult with on this? For context, I live in the US. I can also consider moving states

Not an expert by any means, but I'm moving country in a few months so if you have some questions, I might know something.

The Netherlands are pretty liberal regarding assisted suicide. Although I don't know how easy it is for US citizens to move there. Switzerland is also pretty liberal regarding assisted suicide and afaik enables foreigners to go there for dying, too, without you needing to be a resident of Switzerland.

Do you have proof of this? Nobody is handing out euthanasia.

There are communities to help people move like https://www.expatsigo.com/ - it's not specifically about the mental health and CTB part, but they're out there. I'm also in the US and considering what to do as well.
