I'd like to know so that my death doesn't look like I did it myself. I know it isn't very nice to have but I can't live with myself anymore and want a way out

Not sure why dying from cancer is so attractive to you. It's a very slow, drawn out and painful process, both physically and mentally.

Why do you not want it to seem like you did it yourself?

Smoking gives cancer but in the long run. Someone mentioned radioactive material, that one will work.

I've also wondered this as well. I know this sounds terrible, but tbh I wish I could get cancer so I could have an "excuse/reason" to die. It would be nice not to go by my own hand as well, I wish I could ctb by an outside force and not have to do the act myself.

There's also no sure way to get cancer, which is a problem with this method. Cancer arises from mutations in your DNA. Carcinogens contribute to causing cancer, but not all cancer is even caused by them. Sometimes "healthy" people get cancer for seemingly no reason, it just happens/occurs spontaneously. I think it's just a matter of fate honestly.

I heard radiation exposure contributes to getting cancer, but it's really hard to get exposed to radioactive things…

Not op, but because there's still a stigma attached to suicide….

Cancer rates are rising because of pollution. One has to consume carcinogenic (cancer inducing) substances/foods like highly processed food, smoking cheap cigarettes, overconsumption of highly alcoholic beverages, grilling.
It is but not very likely it would work. It's more luck then decision.

Sure but that doesn't matter when you're dead :p

If you really are concerned about that though, you could probably choose something better like falling off a ledge "accidentally" or something like that.

Say you're going to the balcony then make it seem like you slipped off or something. A lot easier than getting and dying of cancer, no doubt.

EDIT: Just saw OP's response. Understandable, I get your reasoning now

Plutonium. One should be gone within 1 week. Like Litvinenko.
But now seriously, you don't want to get a cancer!
My grandpa died of cancer 2 months ago and he was begging for getting a gun when he was in the terminal stage.
He had unbearable pain in every part of his body despite the fact that he was put on a very high dose of morphine.
Everytime we met him at the hospital he looked dreadful and dehumanized. He looked at us, smiled for half a second and then he went again to his tormented expression of his face

Even if you could, the death would be slow and painful. Indeed, if you were dying of cancer, you would probably end up offing yourself via alternative means such would be the suffering.

Shame in only a fee countries do terminally people have the option for assistance in terminating their suffering. There really isn't anything to quibble about on that matter.

I don't have any answer but I empathize with this. It's sad to think this would be a more "accepted" death.

I feel the exact same way. It's nice to know I'm not the only one. Even just getting seriously (but not fatally) ill sounds nice because it'd let me catch a break from life and feel like I'm allowed to just rest and not be constantly worrying.

Lol, I would've taken it up just so that I could have a higher chance to die…but sadly it costs money

As someone that got cancer completely against my desires, no.
It does not really kill you. It just eats away at you until you can no longer live. That can take a year or more with no guarantee you will not be sick enough to end up in a hospital. They will try to save you.
Sound fun?

I too have wished to get cancer so that I could die. I have treatment resistant depression along with a generous helping of anxiety, and those conditions, alas, won't kill me. My thought is that if I were to get cancer, I would take no treatment for it, other than palliative care. It wouldn't be fun for me or for people around me, but at least there'd be an end to it. At least, I hope there'd be.
