there are many possible causes, from a database cron taking too long, to heavy AI scraping, or even both... only an admin can investigate and provide the answers/fix(es).

it seems to occur every few days/weeks, at a random point between 11 and 13 or 14 utc.

I run my own website, and have encountered a scraping bot. not bad enough to take down the site but adding more load than needed.

database crons shouldn't take too long, but crontab was disabled on ifastnet/infinityfree because of resource usage (I used infinityfree for an earlier version of my site)

and ofc, both issues aren't mutually exclusive, and not the only causes of downtime.

I'm a coder and web operator instead... I prefer to make websites than break them.


Also, cloudflare protects both my site and sasu from ddos.

I've noticed this too. Been getting error 523 from cloudflare now and then over the last week
