I cannot find meto though it also makes me nervous and have just Domperidone.
Can I live through it relatively painlessly without an acid reducer?

Unfortunately I don't have an answer to your question. I also ended up ordering domperidone a few days ago HOWEVER I JUST found some Primperan (meto) a few hours ago . I don't know if you're in the US or if you have the time to wait for it but it's there. ✌

Cool, that's what I figured. It just sucks when I see people SO desperate (like me only a few days ago) to get their hands on certain materials & being handcuffed by the rules. But for the bigger picture, the rule IS definitely needed to protect sources. Eventually I'll be able to PM people so... Thanks for the heads up. ✌
