It seems like most anti-choice people bucket all suicide into the same "selfish" bin. I think it comes with the taboo territory of suicide. While there are situations were suicide can be selfish, there are many times where it isn't. And for those people that aren't comfortable or don't have the perspective to understand suicide, immediately saying it is selfish is a lot more comfortable. It leaves no gray area in reinforcing their world view.
As people on this site I think we can all look at our reasoning(writing this I realize I have insane bias to be pro-choice) for wanting to CTB and look at selfishness in that reasoning along with how our absence will affect other people.
One question I have is, while I know I'm depressed, I don't think it effects anything other than my mood and CTBness. Is there some sort of projection people have or are most people really so anti-choice for such flimsy reasons?
