  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

So most people will cling to life till they are completely fucked by old age, and even then they will refuse to die even when their life has little value. Actual dying can take them years of suffering. Me from the other side I am pretty sure that when my life become unbearable I am gonna CTB with well researched method, which might not be peaceful thanks to prolifers, but at least it will be quick.
I don't really believe in free will, so I don't see dying by suicide any different from dying from cancer. Just causes and conditions that's all.

Yes. We will all die someday so to me it's better to die at a time of my own choosing rather than dying at a time out of my control. Suicide is the best way to die. I also think that being suicidal is seeing life for what it really is, I do believe that suicide is more rational than choosing to exist until old age as suicide prevents all future suffering.

The non existent have no worries and concerns and if someone stays alive then they have unlimited potential to feel pain. To me old age is so horrifying and to die younger would prevent the inevitable deterioration that comes with age. Those who want to live in a world like this where so much suffering exists must be deluded in some way. I see no point to enduring this life when instead I could be peacefully not existing.

Being dispassionate about life is a blessing for sure. Life is a delusion in itself. You lose all that you love. Fuck this existence.

I have a relative that has been bedridden for years. They have to be fed and cleaned by someone, fingernails and hair cut by someone, and they just moan in pain every time I see them. I really don't know why they keep carrying on like that, I would not want that to happen to me. At least there's someone there to look after them. If I ended up like that, there would be no one that would even visit me.

My sentiments exactly. I am sure I was never meant to be here. I want to go quietly, peacefully and be forgotten

I don't consider it a blessing personally, but I can certainly see a silver lining to it. Despite trying to improve my circumstances, I know that ultimately, I will always want my life to end on my own terms when that time comes and I see this as a positive stance. Similarly, I respect other people's autonomy and choices regarding life and death.

For many people, any discussion of suicide or death in general causes immense discomfort and they will avoid it. The fact I have experienced exposure to death, suicidal ideation - and multiple attempts - for many years means that I do not shy away from these subjects. My own suffering has also resulted in being more empathetic towards the pain others endure.

I've never really thought about that but it is strange that people continue to live under these circumstances… I had a relative who had cancer in the last several years of their life was basically one torment after another as they suffered depression and decline

I mean I fully agree with you and when you put it like that it makes me feel all groovy about my own suicidality.

Thanks I guess.
