I've read a few threads about SN here and most people are praising it and presenting it as a great painless method. But I also heard few opinions that it's actually painful (that you're conscious and in pain but can't move your body)
Have any of you heard any bad SN stories or know about some rarely talked about side effects?

The permanent damage risks and pain/discomfort seems to be less prevalent than that of jumping, hanging, or gun shot, and it's success rate is pretty high too. The key here from what I see, is make sure you get all the right amount of supplies needed, not deviate from 25g-35g SN, have antiemetics, fasting as should, not getting found. The once that I seen had failures usually didn't check mark everything. So it has to be done right from all cylinders to feel secure you will have a peaceful and successful ctb

SN is a reliable method of CTB if you follow the tutorial. But I don't think there's a 100% way to leave. Even if you take antiemetic medication, you may still vomit up the SN you drink, and you may experience nausea and headaches.
That's why I choose both SN and burning charcoal as my CTB, because I don't want to mess up the CTB

Here are some documented failures that I think should help you understand

This comment explains it succinctly. It's not a golden method but it seems to potentially hit a lot of targets.
