and ive seen in the main discussion that they said a necktie would be great for it? how would I even set this up.
if it is relatively painless, i reckon instead of ordering SN and waiting for it, ill try this instead.
whats the risk of survival instinct kicking in?

Yes. It's for the most part painless, apart from the rope cutting into your neck from the pressure and possibly if you press the wrong veins, jugular veins instead or carotid artieries. That can cause an uncomfortable feeling of pressure/pain in your head.

A very big risk, i would say. If you press the jugular veins instead of caroid arteries.
Or just somehow can't find a right spot for the ligature to press the veins without contracting your airway.
That would cause a carbon dioxide build up in your blood, which is literally the thing that causes SI.
