with opioid OD you'd want to be alone for 1-3 days after the OD, what sort of noises would you produce that someone may hear and intervene?

When you OD on a serious amount your breathing decreases and you pass out, so i don't see how there could be any noise from "struggling" or choking or anything like that. If someone lied on their side, so that any vomit falls out and they don't make noise choking on the vomit, the only noises would be maybe heavy breathing as you drift off?

I doubt any method would take 3 days, surely any drug will get well metabolised by then.

As for noises, I don't see why it would make any? I think they just stop your heart, breathing and brain function. Things like pento, heroin, fentanyl etc are not choking or suffocating type methods.

Opioid ODs can induce vomiting/gurgling and seizures. There's always a risk that you make choking noises as your body could move while you're semi-conscious. Padding/blankets can reduce the sound of having a seizure.
