I think it's the silence. During the night nothing really happens and you are left with no distractions. It is just you and the moment.Definitely peaceful. It's when I'm most productive. There's also this strange quality to nighttime that feels simultaneously like derealisation and like everything feels stronger? At least emotions are stronger.
I know what you mean. I used to work years ago as a cater waiter (to support my acting bug) in New York City. We'd get off at 2 or 3 in the morning and I'd walk up Broadway and it would be just the night people, the grocers, the taxi drivers. I'd pop into a Korean grocer, grab a bagel and coffee and keep walking. It was really peaceful when there was a misty rain or snow Just wonderful. Good memories. Nowadays I'd get shot or knived. It was safer back then. With "night time" I do not mean if you mean sleep or just night. I have some weird stuff with my sleep that makes me wake up after four hours or so naturally and fully rested, I have no clue why this is, but my father has it too and I wake up rested so I just ignore it. Due to this I have roughly 20 wake hours and go to sleep around 1am.
I can say that I prefer the night, it is a time of peace and freedom. From midnight walks to sitting by the window and enjoying the silent city view. Just being able to melt away in the moment and not have to think about anything and just exist in the moment.
Midnight walks are one of my favourite things. Especially after 2am.
The ability to walk in the middle of the road with no one in sight and just vibe and not have to care about anything as I wander the silent city and just take it in.
Or the mindless existence of just enjoying the view. I can confidently say that the last two wake hours for me are the ones I enjoy the most.
I cannot say anything about sleep as it is not very eventful for me.
Snowy nights are the best, just be careful not to slip. Here there are stabbings and stuff, but honestly, not the way I would want to go, but I do not really mind. Either way as long as you keep out of gang relations you're mostly safe here.I know what you mean. I used to work years ago as a cater waiter (to support my acting bug) in New York City. I know what you mean by waking up exhausted from all the drama in a dream.Night is the time that I feel the most burden free and can ignore most of my problems. Plus the light stresses me out so being in the dark is very peaceful. Though actually sleeping is different because my dreams are weird and exhausting.
My dreams are just my brain trolling me. I usually do not remember my dreams unless I am really passionate about something. If I want something a lot and have been working towards reaching it I will usually have a dream about me getting it just to wake up to nothing.I know what you mean by waking up exhausted from all the drama in a dream.
Wow, just 2-4 hours. That's really tough and frays the already-frayed psyche. Do you periodically nap? Due to extremely tight muscles, I take an old-school muscle relaxer, Tizanidine which knocks my ass OUT. It takes maybe 2 to 2 1/2 hrs to kick, but when it does, you won't even know it. You'll be in the Twilight Zone. For me as someone who gets around 2-4 hours of sleep max at night, its the worst, I constantly stay up battling with my brain telling me im the worst constantly bringing up all my mistakes, the night only seems to heighten the feelings I feel throughout the day
I try to take naps everyday but their hit or miss I either pass out or lay there just staring off into nothingness, most days its the second, sleeping pills don't help either as I've taken them so long they hardly affect me anymore but I've never tried Tizanidine I'll have to try it outWow, just 2-4 hours. I just bought some sleep masks and they do make a difference. Esp. when I stuff them in my ears to shut out the yapping dog next door.Since I started to cover my eyes I sleep like a baby.
